Trading paint, slinging mud, and sliding corners, Auto racing has been a part of the American lifestyle almost since Henry Ford cranked his first Model T into action. The following series of stories profile many of the driver's from the Lindsborg Kans. area that spend their nights, trading paint, slinging mud, and sliding corners.

Knoell brings teamwork to the business of racing

The seat is nothing more than formed sheets of aluminum with minimal amounts of padding lining the bottom and sides. The compartment is small and without many frills. No power windows, no rearview mirror, and no CD player can be found surrounding this high-performance driver’s seat.

Ron Dauer, trading paint 'Old School'

Ron Dauer, Lindsborg, closes the business doors, to Town & Country Repair on north Harrison at 5 PM. However, nearly two hours later there is still a growing group of people in the shop. The repair shop is home to two #99 IMCA Modifieds. It is place where racecars are bred and tales of ‘old school’ dirt racing can be heard.
